Atlantic Sangbad News Desk – On Tuesday, December 27, 2022, Atlantic City’s Fourth Ward Councilman Md. Hossain Morshed organized a dinner party in honor of James Sarkos, the police chief of Atlantic City, known as the Casino City of New Jersey, at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Atlantic City’s first Bangladeshi American Councilman Md. Hossain Morshed welcomed the new Police Chief James Sarkos with good wishes and flowers and said Police Chief James Sarkos has already become popular with the public of Atlantic City’s Fourth Ward through his activities. Councilman Md. Hossain Morshed expressed the hope of being soaked in the love of the Asian community by bringing the city’s crime rate back to zero in the coming days.
Atlantic City Fire Department Chief Scott Evans, City Hall Mercantile Department Director Dale Fines,PBA President Jules Schwenger, Bangladesh Association of South Jersey President Zahirul Islam Babul, Vietnamese Community Leader David Nguyen, Pakistani Community Leader Amjad Rahman, Vice President of Venice Park Civil Society spoke at the dinner. Fred Granage was also present at the event, General Secretary of Bangladesh Press Club of Atlantic City and Editor & Publisher of Atlantic Sangbad online news portal Mohammad Shahin, General Secretary of United States Bangabandhu Parishad Mohammad Mainuddin, and other dignitaries of the community.
Police Chief James Sarkos thanked Councilman Md. Hossein Morshed for hosting the dinner in his honor and asked for the community’s cooperation in improving the law and order situation in Atlantic City.
