<\/p>\nAkbar Hossain: South Asian Leadership Awards were presented to 15 individuals from South Jersey, New Jersey, United States for their contributions in various fields.\u00a0Atlantic City Councilman Jesse Kurtz hosted the event held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in the ballroom of the local Nizam’s Restaurant.\u00a0The event was attended by South Jersey’s main stream politicians, dignitaries, New Jersey’s Second District Assemblyman Don Guardian and assemblywoman Claire Swift.<\/p>\n

Educated, elegant, modest and one of the pioneers in social change is Atlantic City’s 6th Ward Councilman Jesse Kurtz.\u00a0The main objective of the award ceremony was to encourage creative and innovative activities rather than giving preference to traditional work.\u00a0Councilman Jesse Kurtz is already well-respected by everyone for his honesty as a councilman and his honest representation of the city’s common people.<\/p>\n

He said that 15 individuals were given the South Asian Leadership Awards for their contributions in various fields by personally observing the activities of different people without being influenced by any person or organization.\u00a0Among the 15 persons, there are no leaders of political and social organizations.<\/p>\n

Among the Bangladeshis, the South Asian Leadership Awards were awarded to the Mir Hossain, journalist Akbar Hussain, cultural personality Shantana Roy Chowdhury, social worker Saeed Asduha, Rowshan Uddin, and Gazi Alam, Pakistanis are Naim Khan, Saukat Ali\u00a0 Azad,Mohammed Ayub, Riaz Rajput and Aenib Rahman.\u00a0Indians include Dr. Mukesh Roy, Chetan Sharma, Jay Sodha, and Umar Muhammad.<\/p>\n
